Submission
CIRMA 2026 welcomes researchers, engineers, and industry professionals from across the automotive value chain whether to present their work, connect with leading experts, or explore the latest developments in circular economy for mobility.
The event will feature technical paper presentations, industrial demonstrators, interactive workshops, innovation pitches, and networking sessions, providing a platform to discuss emerging technologies and circular design strategies in mobility systems.
Selected contributions will be published in peer-reviewed conference proceedings and will have opportunities for journal special issue publication after the conference.

Please provide the title of your contribution and a short abstract of no more than 300 words. If, for technical reasons, you are unable to submit your abstract via the form, you can email it to zevra@iwu.fraunhofer.de using the template below.
Authors and contributors of accepted abstracts will be contacted with instructions for the next step, depending on their submission type.
Please note that, also during this phase, we will only accept papers and presentations submitted using our templates. You can find the templates on the downloads page.
Paper structure
In the second round, conference papers of maximum 3000 words and maximum 3 figures are invited to be submitted by 15th of July 2026 through the online submission system. The papers will be reviewed by independent experts and by members of the local program committee.
Presentation
Accepted papers will be presented either in a technical (oral) session or as a poster without a presentation (only invited printed poster ). Maximum one presentation is allowed per person attending the conference. This means that an author can be a co-author of multiple papers but is not allowed to present more than one paper.
Proceedings and special issues
The accepted papers will be published in the online conference proceedings with certified DOI. Selected high-quality papers will be proposed by the guest editors for invitation to special issues of prestigious journals.

Submission review criteria
Following notification of the first review decision, at least one presenting author must complete conference registration by 15 September 2026. Contributions for which no author has registered by this date may be removed from the programme and proceedings without further notice.
Should a submitted contribution not be accepted after the review process, the registration fee will be refunded.
Finality of Review Decisions (Legal Note)
The selection of contributions is carried out by the Scientific Committee of CIRMA 2026 on the basis of the published review criteria. The committee’s decisions are final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding individual review outcomes. Participation in the submission process does not create any entitlement to acceptance or publication.

Academic participants are invited to submit abstracts presenting original research, innovative methodologies, and case studies relevant to circularity in the automotive sector. Contributions should demonstrate scientific quality, practical relevance, and alignment with the objectives of CIRMA conference.
Authors may indicate their preferred presentation format, although the final decision will be made by the review committee based on quality, thematic fit, and programme balance.
CIRMA welcomes contributions from industry partners across three categories.
Submit your contribution to showcase practical progress toward circular automotive solutions, strengthen collaboration between industry and research, and highlight innovations that support the transition to zero-emission and circular vehicles.
