ZEvRA hackathon series: the ELCA/ERCI Hack&Match event

We are pleased to highlight an exciting opportunity now extended to the ZEvRA hackathon series: the ELCA/ERCI Hack&Match event, “Design the Future, Hack the Waste: The Full-Lifecycle Mobility Challenge.”

Taking place online on 21–22 July 2026, the event will connect challenge providers with innovative SMEs, researchers, and technology experts from across Europe to co-develop solutions for key mobility and circular economy challenges.

The focus is on driving innovation across the full value chain from eco-design to end-of-life recovery with particular attention to complex materials such as plastics, advanced composites, and batteries.

As part of the ZEvRA ecosystem, this initiative offers a valuable opportunity for partners to bring forward challenges and address follow-up questions and barriers emerging from real use cases.

We encourage OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and use-case owners to consider submitting a challenge. Relevant topics may include:

  • Trust and quality assurance of recycled materials
  • Circular design and dismantlability
  • Reduction of disassembly costs
  • Communication between design and manufacturing
  • Internal quality requirements for recycled materials

We also invite you to share this opportunity with colleagues who may be interested in contributing as challenge providers or participating as experts.
The call for challenges is currently open, with a submission deadline of 20th of June 2026.

Submit your challenge here.
