ZEvRA’s innovations highlighted at the Sustainability in Product and Production Engineering 2025

For the fourth time, the automotive industry and researchers are gathering in Bad Nauheim for the Automotive Circle conference on Sustainability in Product and Production Engineering. Conference participants addressed key issues relating to the procurement of high-quality secondary materials for the automotive industry and efficient recycling methods for end-of-life vehicles. They also discussed the organisation of material flows between OEMs, suppliers and recycling companies, possible compromises in the quality of secondary materials, necessary adjustments to vehicle architecture, and suitable concepts for recycling automotive batteries or using them in a second life phase.

On 1 October, Stefan Caba from EDAG spoke about the recyclability of automobiles. Key innovations from ZEvRA were presented under the programme item Circularity for vehicle structures – recycling is just the end.

The Automotive Circle conference Sustainability in Product and Production Engineering took place from 30 September to 1 October 2025 in Bad Nauheim, Germany.
